Cost Ledger publishes cost guides and calculators for general information. A price range on this site is a national figure taken from the source quoted next to it, on the date quoted. It is not a quote, not an offer, and not a guarantee of what a professional will charge you.

What the calculators are

The calculators apply the formulas shown on their page. They help you estimate a quantity or a size; they do not replace a professional's measurement, a manufacturer's instructions or the rules that apply where you live. Electrical, structural and heating work is subject to codes and permits: check them with a licensed professional before you build.
